Summary

For my independent studies class, I created a prototype for a mobile website. I decided the subject of family baking because it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I collected recipes from my grandmother, and wrote an about page.  Afterward, I hand-drew illustrations which I uploaded into Adobe Illustrator. In Illustrator, I used the pen tool to trace the graphics. Then, I added color and a  background. Afterward, I designed the prototype in Adobe XD, inserting my content, adding links to the different recipe pages, a drop-down navigation bar, and a button that jumps the screen to the top of the page. If I were to work on this project again, I would add more interactive features, like adding a carousel section where the user swipes between recipes on the homepage.
